Basic Manners 1&2: For dogs 6 months and older. Have fun training with your dog while learning basic obedience skills. We will teach you how to have your dog respond to their name with lightning speed first, and then build on that with fundamental cues such as sit, down, come, stay, and more. You will learn how to have your dog sit politely for greetings and learn the steps for walking on a leash without pulling. This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
Positively Puppies (1): For puppies 8-16 weeks old on the first day of class. Get ready to build a strong foundation for your new puppy in our Positively Puppies (1) class. We will teach you how your puppy learns and the benefits of training with positive reinforcement. Class will focus on socializing your puppy through off-leash play and handling, potty training solutions, how to curtail nipping, crate training tips, and basic obedience. Class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
Positively Puppies (2): For puppies 4-6 months old on the first day of class. As adolescence creeps closer for your puppy it’s essential to keep reinforcing good behaviors and socialization. Ample time will be devoted to off-leash playtime in Positively Puppies (2). There will also be household manners discussion and obedience training to fit your puppy’s skill level. Learn how to have your puppy offer more calm behavior and improve your puppy’s focus on you. Class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
Reactive Rover: Does leaving the house, being on leash, being near other dogs, or going to a regular group dog class cause your dog and you anxiety? Let us help you both in our Reactive Rover class. With a maximum of 4 dogs per class you and your dog will receive the attention necessary to conquer the anxiety, stress, fearfulness, barking, and inability to focus that goes hand-in-hand with dog reactivity. With the help of games and exercises your dog will regain focus on you, gain confidence in themselves, and you will strengthen your bond together. This class meets once a week for 6 weeks.
